Description
This is a rare example of the French Perpetual Mouse Trap. Made mainly of beech, the two doors have been replaced. The see-saw is partly gnawed but otherwise it is in working order. Size: 13 x 12.5 x 7.8cms. Made by Henri Ferdinand Serrin, 29 Boulevart St. Martin, Paris who was granted a British Patent No.1080 in 1867. These traps were produced until about 1910.
An example of this trap was sold on this site in 2013 for £70.
