This is a good example of FENN Double Entry Cage Trap. The FENN cage trap is a design classic, still viewed by many as the best cage traps ever made.
There is a very simple but clever mechanism which allows both doors to be sprung simultaneously from a single treadle. The doors are hung freely from the top of the trap but closed and locked by a pair of sprung rods.
