SP 1800s Frame Based Otter Trap
This very early has a flat spring stamped with maker’s initials ‘SP’, and 5 1/2 inch flat edged jaws. The plate is partially missing, but fits under the L shaped plate stops. The base is all hand forged with a protective frame around the jaws when set. Made in late 1800s as an otter or fox trap.
