This is an early 4-hole, thread-set mouse choker trap. The oak block measures 6¾” x 2¼” x 1½”. The loops are attached to double-coil springs and there are tacks underneath the block to which the threads are tied. Note the sharp tacks protruding through the top edge of each hole to prevent the mouse backing out when caught. Late 19th C. Maker unknown.
