This wrought iron, vintage mole trap is unusual in that the handles are held apart by a coiled compression spring.
The setter is retained by a wire loop. Self finish. Trap stamped DEFIANCE. Made by Boddis (Old Hill) Ltd, Staffs., in about 1930 and not later than 1950. Registered No.817252..
