Description
A sturdy old English trap, made by Sidebotham in Wednesfield, in great overall condition with clear stamp on the plate. It is all original, with strong folding springs.
It would have been used for badgers or foxes, some were also exported to Australia for catching dingos.
Plate stamp reads SIDEBOTHAM’S GENUINE in a circle. Bait holes on the plate have been rivetted through with copper rivets
It has got large 7 inch rounded jaws
Overall length is 22 inches, excluding its original swivelled chain and ring
