Lloyd Approved Vermin Trap
This is a fine example of a scarce and difficult to obtain Lloyd Approved Vermin Trap. It comes complete with chain and long peg.
This trap is in excellent condition fully able to set and fire.
Good clear stamp on the plate.
The Lloyd trap was approved by MAFF in 1968 and was made by Gilbertson & Page, Hertford, under license from the National Development Research Council (NDRC). Made from mild steel with a strong torsion spring, brass catch and tongue and a galvanised plate.
One jaw is shaped to pass within the other so that when the trap is sprung the captured animal is crushed between the jaws.
