Description
A well made old English trap, made by H. Lane in Wednesfield, in excellent overall condition with clear impressed stamp on the plate. It is all original, with strong folding springs.
It would have been used for badgers or foxes, some were also exported to Australia for catching dingos.
Plate impressed stamp reads LI-LO, the brand of H. Lane. Also stamped is MADE IN ENGLAND and a Ministry Broad Arrow mark, indicating its official governmental use or trial.
Also fitted with trapper’s metal tag on the chain which reads STOKES.
It has got large 7 1/2 inch round topped flat jaws
Overall length is 22 1/2 inches, excluding its original swivelled chain
