Description
An example of a Flat Top Mole Trap also known as a Board-Top mole trap – Softwood board 5” x 2¾” x ½” thick fitted with hoops of thick copper wire inside of which are thin wire snares connected to a cord. The lower end of the cord is held in place by a forked trigger and the upper end is looped over the end of a strong torsion spring that is firmly attached to the board. When a mole entering from either end disturbs the trigger the trap is sprung and seizes the victim in one of the wire snares.
